About the Artist

Hello friends,

I have been a Barrington, Illinois resident for over 40 years, mother of two now adult children who live in Montana, and a local yoga instructor for over twenty years.  Started painting at Harper college taking a watercolor class with Veronica Potter way back in the 80's.  Then started at Main St. Art Center in Lake Zurich in the 90's with Frankie Johnson. 

Over the years I have also done several workshops and retreats with so many lovely artists as well as a few retreats in France.

For the past ten to fifteen years I have focused primarily on painting from life, either working from models, still lives or outside in Plein air.  However, dancers and children just won't stay still for me!! and a photo reference is necessary.  I've also found flowers (especially tulips, move more than the models do!!)

I love to say I paint because it helps me see beauty everywhere and in everyone.  It trains a persons eyes and brain to see all that is lovely and good in the world.  An excellent practice for everyone!!
